Description

• TC-100 Insect Medium, with L-Glutamine was developed in the mid-1970s by Drs. Gardiner and Stockdale as a modification of Grace’s medium.
• The medium was modified to optimize the production of Autographa californica NPV virions by cells from the fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda. When supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS), TC-100 supports the growth of cells derived from a variety of lepidopteran species, including Spodoptera frugiperda (Sf9). It is specifically used for production of baculoviruses in lepidopteran cell lines.
