Here's what some of the team have to say about what it’s like to work at Appleton Woods
Clara Dunning – e-Procurement and Data Manager
“Working at Appleton Woods is certainly never boring! Working closely with the whole team means dealing with lots of varied situations and no two days are ever the same, which is something I really love! We’re a small team who all work closely together to achieve success and after putting in a lot of hard work we enjoy celebrating a job well done.”
Sophie Allsop – Management Accountant
“Being a family run business, Appleton Woods Ltd really has a sense of family spirit. All employees are friendly and willing to go above and beyond to help when you are struggling, along with highly supportive management, career progression is always a potential.
I have worked for a few companies before joining the team at Appleton Woods and I must admit it was the best career decision I have made. With social gatherings throughout the year and many laughs, it really is a fantastic place to work”
Dr Stewart Sale – Reagent Product Specialist
“Appleton Woods is a great company to work for. As a small family business, everybody knows everyone else and we all work together as a team to achieve the same goals. Everybody’s views and ideas are listened to and taken into consideration and you really feel appreciated for the work you put in and the results you achieve”.
Caroline Osborne – Technical Sales Representative
“I have been with Appleton Woods for over one year now and it is lovely being part of such a diverse and creative team. A small family business, and with a genuine heart that cares. There’s always excitement and time for a coffee (considered essential when in the field) with an overarching drive to do the very best we can. It has been thoroughly enjoyable to be able to blend scientific knowledge with like-minded colleagues, customers, and a wider team alike. How quickly that first year flew by!”
Luke Housley – Key Account Manager
“I first joined Appleton Woods in 2008 and spent 9 happy years as a territory sales representative. I learnt a huge amount in this time and was given all the opportunities to develop as a sales person and member of a sales team I could have hoped for. After a brief period working for a large corporate, I returned as the key account manager in 2019. Although I gained a lot of experience in this time I really missed the collaborative and close-knit feeling of a family run business and, the fact I am one of two members of the sales team to return after a stint away, speaks volumes!”
Holly Cox – Product Manager
“I joined Appleton Woods in 2018 and what really drew me in was the close-knit, family nature of the business; something which I find much more appealing than a larger organisation. My role is very varied which I also enjoy, from sourcing and implementing new products to working on our social media accounts! Getting involved in all aspects of the company means I have learnt so much already and have really enjoyed getting to know the team, our suppliers and our customers. There is no such thing as a dull day at Appleton Woods!”
