Description

Schneider’s Drosophila Medium, Modified, with L-Glutamine was originally developed for the in vitro culture of S2 cells of Drosophila melanogaster.
When supplemented with 5 to 20% heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum (FBS), Schneider’s Drosophila medium has been found to support the rapid growth of both primary and established cultures of cells derived from Drosophila and several other dipteran species.
Applications: insect cell culture, transient or stable transfections, recombinant protein expression.
