How We Helped Transform a Teaching Lab with 100 ZEISS Primostar Microscopes
Challenge
The University of Manchester needed to upgrade one of their teaching labs to provide students with modern, hands-on learning opportunities. The goal was to equip the lab with high-quality, reliable instruments that could handle large student groups while supporting a wide range of experiments.
Solution
Our microscopy specialist, Dr Mark Perkins, led the project, installing 100 Zeiss Primostar microscopes to ensure every student had access to dependable, high-performance equipment. In addition, we supplied the lab with a complete set of essential instruments, including:
- Cole Parmer spectrophotometers
- Ohaus balances
- Mettler pH meters
- Hettich centrifuges
- Appleton mini vortex mixers
- Grant water baths
- Syngene NuGenius XE imaging systems
- Dlab hotplates
Results
The University of Manchester now has a fully equipped, modern teaching lab that allows students to engage in practical science with confidence. The combination of Zeiss microscopes and supporting instruments delivers both performance and reliability, enhancing their overall learning experience.
