My parents, Derek and June Brown founded this company, with help from Arthur Appleton and Stan Woods, back in 1967. They would be as pleased as I am to see Appleton Woods Ltd flourishing with the energy and enthusiasm of today’s great team.

I have been the Microscopy Sales Specialist at Appleton Woods since August 2021. Before selling ZEISS, I developed my interest in microscopy during my PhD at the University of Nottingham.

I joined Appleton Woods in 2010 in Customer Services and developed my career into Operations, I ensure the site is running like clockwork. I oversee Compliance, Customer Service, Sustainability and Logistics.

Having worked in the Laboratory Distribution market for over 36 years, I have a passion for sourcing and developing new products. Working here is the perfect opportunity to do this, so much so I’ve worked here twice during my career!
