Description

The Bright Instruments 2212-021 Starlet Portable Cryostat is a compact and versatile instrument designed for precise frozen sectioning in laboratories with limited space or for field use. Its lightweight design and efficient cooling system make it an ideal choice for applications requiring portability without compromising on performance.

Key Features:

Cooling System: Equipped with a 3.86cc displacement compressor and HFC-compliant refrigerants, providing 125W cooling power at -35°C.
Temperature Control: Thermostatically controlled chamber temperature ranging from ambient to -35°C, with a digital display and automatic programmable defrost with manual override
Microtome Design: Features a radial, flat cutting microtome operated by a handwheel, capable of cutting a wide range of specimens including soft tissue, hair follicle, cardiac muscle, and lung.
Specimen Handling: Maximum specimen size of 22mm diameter, with adjustable specimen orientation (0–12°) and a specimen thickness range of 2–12µm in 2µm increments (4–24µm optional).
Build Quality: Constructed with an ABS polymer and Stelvetite polymer-coated steel cabinet, resistant to scratches, solvents, and detergents. The chamber is made of polished stainless steel and includes a detachable cold storage bar and shelf.
Portability: Compact dimensions (H315 x W465mm(min)/546mm(max) x D740mm) and a net weight of 40kg make it easy to transport between laboratories or for field applications.
Optional UV Decontamination: A factory-fitted UV decontamination system is available for enhanced safety when handling potentially infectious specimens.

Standard Delivery £15.00 +VAT.

Delivery Schedule All in stock items will be dispatched within 2 working days.

Exemption The standard delivery fee does not apply to certain items. These may be subject to additional shipping charges, for example capital equipment items or dry ice shipments. Please contact our office for details.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. Any in stock items on your order will be part-shipped on our standard delivery schedule at no additional charge. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Return Policies

All goods supplied by the Company shall be examined and checked immediately upon receipt by the buyer.

The company should be notified in writing within 48 hours of any damages, shortages or errors in the consignment. No claim whatsoever will be accepted by the Company in respect of any damage or shortage after this time. Where there is a total loss of the Goods in transit, the customer must notify the company within seven days of the invoice. If no such notice is given, the Goods shall be deemed to have been supplied in accordance with the order and to have been accepted by the Buyer. Goods that conform to the Buyer’s order may not be returned without the consent of the Seller.

The Seller reserves the right to impose a handling charge of 20% of the net invoice value for returned Goods. The Seller reserves the right to refuse to accept any Goods returned, for whatever reason, if after inspection such Goods or their packaging prove unsatisfactory in any way. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that any returns are free from biological and chemical hazard. The seller reserves the right to refuse to accept Goods which in its view present a hazard to its staff or which may infringe the Health & Safety at Work legislation.
