Corning® Matrigel®

Matrigel matrix is a solubilized basement membrane preparation extracted from the Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) mouse sarcoma, rich in extracellular matrix proteins including laminin, Collagen IV, heparan sulfate proteoglycans, entactin/nidogen, and a complement of growth factors. Formulated and qualified in multiple formats — including growth factor reduced, high concentration, phenol red–free, and organoid-optimized variants — this extracellular matrix enables reproducible 2D and 3D cell culture workflows.

• Tested and found negative for bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma
• Protein concentrations determined by Lowry method; endotoxin measured by Limulus Amoebocyte Lysate assay
• Gel stability tested at 37°C for 14 days
• Biological activity confirmed for each lot using a neurite outgrowth assay

Preparation and Storage
Store at −20°C. Avoid multiple freeze–thaw cycles. Do not store in a frost‑free freezer. KEEP FROZEN.
