Coronavirus Statement – Update 02/04/2020

Appleton Woods is continuing to operate as normally as possible whilst taking into account the health, safety and welfare of our staff, and observing the government’s guidance and restrictions to reduce the spread of the virus.

We supply NHS laboratories and PHE facilities, as well as laboratories in universities and other organisations which are carrying our testing and research on coronavirus.  We are prioritising our efforts in supporting work in these vital areas, as well as other key work such as in food testing laboratories.

We have good stocks of the products that we normally supply, but are now experiencing some supply restrictions and delays on products which are specifically related to coronavirus work.  We are working closely with key suppliers to maintain the best possible service to customers.

We are accepting orders in the normal way, and are happy to discuss your specific delivery requirements.

We have a skeleton team at our operating centre in Kings Norton, Birmingham and are still able to make deliveries using our own vans and our regular next day carriers. A lot of our staff are working from home, so please bear with us if our response is not quite as joined up as usual.  Our technical sales team are available by email, telephone and video conferencing to discuss your requirements and help with alternative products which may be suitable if your regular products are not available.

Our absolute priority is supporting the vital national effort to get us all through this crisis, but we also very much appreciate the support of customers and suppliers at what is a very difficult time for smaller businesses.
